Chapter 14 final blog

I would like to first say I hope everyone has a great Christmas and is doing well in this class.

Read online bio’s of the U.S Supreme Court Justice. What do you find interesting about their backgrounds? Pick one of the Justices, read about cases this Justice has written (majority or dissent) and explain whether you agree or disagree with his/her judicial philosophy.
Reading some of the back grounds and seeing where some of them was from and knowing that some of them did really work hard to get where they are is really awesome. I read about Sonia Maria Sotomayor she had a lot of cases against some government officials and like football corporations. I think she did make some good choices in them and being a woman on the bench I think there is more pressure on her then there would be on the others.
Is Judicial Review a power that should be exercised regularly or sparingly? Why?
I think it should be regularly. I do think that some of the pass judgments doesn’t always fit for what someone else is getting punished for and like I have said before with the way the world is changing there has to be new laws punishments, and updates on old ones for us to keep the peace.
Is it the job of the High Court to apply the Constitution in light of the intent of the framers of the Constitution (strict construction) or should they interpret the Constitution in light of changes in society/ technology (living Constitution)? Why?
I think that they should interpret it in times all depends on what for. There is some laws in the Constitution that we no longer go by in there because they do not apply to us with the way our world is now compare to back then.
Comment on Robert Cook, Pam Smith, and Edward King.
